Hello Scott,
This rebooting behaviour is usually the result of an unmodified NR_TASKS
value in /usr/src/linux/include/linux/tasks.h file. The default value
for
this is 4090 (in 2.2.17 and below). For a Win4Lin-enabled kernel to
boot,
this must be set to 3834 or less. Try setting this value and recompiling
and see if it helps.
We do have someone working on 2.2.17 kernels for RH 6.2, and we hope to
have those available in the near future. The 2.2.17 kernel for 7.0,
though
having the same revision number (14), is *not* the same as the 6.2
kernel,
which is why all the hunks failed.
