Is there a reason that serial port performance doesn't go beyond 19200 baud? I first noticed this when attempting to sync my Palm organizer through my COM1 (IBM 365 - dual Pentium Pro 200). I found that if I pushed the speed beyond 19200 the sync would fail. Now I've got a US Robotics V.90 internal faxmodem, which I can open up at 115200 to check my settings, but a dialup to a remote 33.6 modem results in connection at only 19.2 (using Ericom's PowerTerm). Similarly, if I use Citrix ICA Dialup Client to a remote server (also supporting a 33.6 modem) 3Com's dialup monitor also shows only a 19.2 connection. It doesn't appear to be a false connection report either; the connection is distinctly slower than it is running under NT 4.0 WS. Just as a check, I opened a kermit session under Linux to the modem and dialed one of those remote servers and kermit showed a 31200 connection . _______________________________________________ Win4Lin-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.netraverse.com/mailman/listinfo/win4lin-users
