I've playing about using MI/X 2.0 (an X server for Windows from
MicroImages) to remotely run jobs on my linux box from a win95 box.
xv, xwp (aka wordperfect 7), and win4lin's dos mode all appear to run
correctly, started on and viewed from the remote box, using telnet and
MI/X.
BUT...
invoking win4lin, by typing win, crashes the MI/X server - it gets as
far as the initial dos screen, changes to a blank whole screen- of
slightly orange hue (IIRC) and then comes up with illegal operation in
MI/X.
(I've tried both starting via telnet and from an xterm on the server).
Any ideas please? (I've RTFM'd but not seen anything relevant)
Bob
(Using fwin starts up a win4lin session on the host machine, of course,
not the remote X server)
