HAHAHAHAH come on lets be pratical... would you really buy version 3.0 if
that happened?... naaah I didn't think so. Me neither!

We've been having a raging discussion about the 2.4 kernel support in the,
now defunct, Win4Lin Beta list for the last few months and the final reply
was basically. No! there will not be support for the 2.4 series kernels for
Win4Lin 1.0 or 2.0 ever oh yeah and btw you beta testers can take a flying
leap. hehe not really, on the last bit, but artistic license never hurt
anyone.

The big question now is "Who" has tested the 3.0 version and whilst I have no
real problem with shelling out for the product (it being good and all...) I
do have reservations as to the state it will ship. Even though it was stated
that beta testing of the previous versions of Win4Lin was basically
unhelpful. I remember quite a few small and large issues being brought up and
the Netraverse (maybe Trelos then) programmers getting on to it and producing
patches and new versions ... I would think this is what Beta-Testing is all
about. I hope there is some small note as to "Who" tested the goods or will
it be another RedHat, where everyone knows to steer clear of even version
numbers and wait for the .x versions to produce the working gear.
Oh did I mention there was a small amount of bitching on the list before they
shut it down, shucks I'm only human... ;)
