Interesting comments.
If the requirement is because the installation is interactive somehow,
then that could be a problem.
If, on the other hand the connectivity requirement only has to do with
downloading updates, ala every installation I've done of IE 5.0 and 5.5,
then it might not be as big a deal.
I'm also pretty sure that M$ has to deal with machine crashing and stuff
like that. If they really wanted to limit folks to one copy, then why not a
license file of their own?
My experience, so far (!!), is that there's always been a way to capture
the cab files and work from there. I would suspect that this won't be that
different. (Famous last words!!)

XP. It mentioned offhandedly that Internet access will be
required for the installation, which also suggests
compulsory on-line registration of just one copy. That
raises a real problem for those of us who want to run both a
Win4Lin partition and a native Windows partition.
Any thoughts from within Netraverse or outside it?
