Some observations on Adam's response, and links to the relevant patches:
1. The standard win4lin kernel patches do not apply cleanly to 2.2.19.
(They fail in apm.c, due to a one line change in the surrounding
patch context.) The following patch can be applied *after* the
standard patch to fix this problem.
<http://www.trinity.unimelb.edu.au/~bhat/win4lin/2.2.19-apm.patch>
2. Even after the patch in 1. is applied, win4lin won't work -- it
fails with this error:
IMPROPER_INSTL: dos: ERROR: Improperly installed,
Permissions or privileges are incorrect.
I assume this is what Adam means by "it will not work in _all_
cases" -- depending on your kernel configuration, some people don't
seem to get this error.
3. This patch fixes the problem in 2.
<http://www.trinity.unimelb.edu.au/~bhat/win4lin/2.2.19-sched.patch>
These patches are indeed customer-supplied, so don't expect support from
Netraverse.
Also note that I haven't tried these on any Mandrake kernel -- only on
the standard kernel.org 2.2.19 kernel. Your mileage may vary.
