Make sure that the floppy and CD-ROM device files are accessable by
regular users. Usually they are only mountable by root. Because
Windows runs as your regular user, you need regular user access to
those devices for Windows under Win4Lin to access them.
As for your sound, are you using an OSS sound driver? Win4Lin currently
only supports OSS drivers. Some OSS-compatable ALSA drivers have
been reported to work, but not all. Also, make sure that sound is
set up correctly in Windows and that you are not running any sound-based
applications under Linux (the Enlightenment Sound Daemon (esd) or XMMS
or others) as these have a tendancy to grab the sound card and not let
Windows use it ever.
