I've got several win4lin installations which get an IP address via DHCP.

Here are some questions I would ask.

Did you choose the to install VNET from the installation, or did you activate
it using win_network -v after you installed?

When you start a windows session, are there any error messages displayed
during boot?

If you switch to regular winsock networking are you able to resolve. To do 
that,
close windows and run win_network -w.
