Yes, I ran into this exactly.  In my case it was do to my bootloader 
either being not configured or loading the wrong kernel.  That error 
happens when, somehow, you didn't get the Win4Lin support in your 
kernel... be it the boot loader, a link pointing to the wrong place or 
what have you.
