I had gotten this tip from NeTraverse back with Win4Lin v2 when I upgraded my
KDE to version 2.
I set my Win4Lin screen resolution to 1024x768, which is the same as my X
desktop.
Using KDE2, I can start Win4Lin in a specified desktop, making it fullscreen
in that desktop. I can switch between my desktops with 'Ctrl-F1, Ctrl-F'
,etc.
This is really nice. The only trick I find is that I must wait until Win4Lin
finishes starting Windows before I try to switch away from it or else the
screen size gets a bit goofy.
I have a desktop icon with the following command line:
"kstart --window Windows --desktop 3 --maximize --ontop --activate --geometry
1024x768 --type override win"
This switches me to desktop 3 and starts my Win4Lin session, overriding the
KDE desktop. No kicker bars, no slider, no borders. It looks just like it
should.
