Hello,

Has anyone had success with Win4Lin 3.0 on an SMP kernel? I'm running an
SMP enabled 2.4.4 kernel on top of SuSE 7.1 distribution. I managed to
patch the kernel without any problems, but Win4Lin doesn't seem to behave
itself in this environment.

During the install, there were places where it would hang for several
minutes at a time - especially during the "hardware detection" phases and
whenever Windows was restarted - it continues to hang on a restart during
nomal use.

I've also had it hard-lock my x-session on one occasion. And when I was
testing video playback my gnome virtual desktop applet died. I
restarted it, but several seconds later it would die again. And repeat..

If I reboot and disable SMP, these problems stop occuring (although I've
not tested the installation process in this configuration).

Cheers,

Ian
