Am posting this as a separate item to ensure better distribution. These questions all relate to win4lin 3.0 and SuSE 7.1 distribution Does anyone besides me have the problem of NO floppy disk support using SuSE 7.1 with kernel 2.4.0 under win4lin? Similar question: does anyone have the Iomega 250 zip drive recognized or installed under win4lin? Haven't tried the USB function yet. Believe it or not, the first item (floppy disk) is the most important for me as some of the vintage software is either on floppies or requires drive a: access for a boot disk. The latter two items (Zip250 and USB) can all be taken care of from Linux itself where they work just fine. As a long term user of Vmware which I rate satisfactory, win4lin appears to have the potential to be the better product. Vmware is hard on computer resources and noticeably more sluggish than native Windows, while win4lin is faster and requires fewer resources(hardware), and I notice no speed degradation over native Windows. My system runs under a 400 MHz pentium II with 256 Meg of RAM. For what it's worth...
