i haven't seen any talk about win4lin 3.0 being slow - the talk has been
about performance anomalies where 3.0 will go into the tank for anywhere up
to 30 seconds or so, when various windows functions (button clicks, etc)
are performed. various people have had improvements from changing their
swap configuration, disabling magicdev, etc, none of which have been
relevant to my situation.
