creating a symlink to the mount point should work - even from your desktop
directory ~/win/windows/Desktop
ln -s /mnt/smb ~/win/windows/Desktop/Ddrive

Subject: [Win4Lin-users] samba

I mapped drive "D" in win4lin3 to be a drive to a windows box & it works
wonderfully.
But, if samba is down, or more likely, if the windows box is off,
win4lin3 will not start.

Anyone have a solution?

John
