bad move! for two reasons, (the 1st see below) and the 2nd being that
any tampering in the winsock area is potentially fraught

look in /opt/win4lin/patch and much will become clear (er). (I think the
kernel32 patch there allows the module to be relocated from bfxxxxxx to
9fxxxxxx and hammers an sidt or two... - fairly significant changes!)
