Hi all,

I recently upgraded from 2.0 to 3.0. I use Debian, so my upgrade was not
precisely standard, and am running Windows 95 SE.

Is it just me, or is 3.0 more sluggish than 2.0? My main use for Win4Lin is
FrameMaker, and it definitely feels slower for me. Startup, typing, screen
updates, etc...

There is also a problem with some of the fonts used in the Frame docs I am
editing, it only happens when the doc has embedded graphics, the text
initially appears slightly "ghosted". The "ghosting" is so slight that it
might even be confused with boldface, but when you click on the text field to
edit the text, the "ghosting" disappears leaving plain, unbolded text (and I
know for a fact that the text isn't boldface to start with).

I also have a couple of Windows programs that use the serial port. Thing is, I
also have the gpilotd daemon running most of the time; when I want Win4Lin to
use the serial port I kill gpilotd before starting. So far so good, but when
gpilotd is running I get a warning dialog when starting Win4Lin. Is there a
way of doing away with that dialog, or of having several different port
configs?

Thanx for a great product, I am anxiously waiting for 2.4.7 support!

-Mario.
