Yep, I've installed iTunes 11 on one of the machines here and my observations are much the same as noted by other people.
I've read several reviews of iTunes in the local press here and the general opinion is favorable when it comes to the new interface but several reviewers have been having shots at Apple for what they're calling the "Apple Knows Best" policy, several features in the previous version of iTunes have been removed in the new iTunes 11 though these were features I hardly ever used, the Cover Flow facility was obviously one I didn't use but it seemed many people did though I don't see the removal of features causing a riot at my local Apple Store, I'm sure Apple did some Market Research and perhaps decided from the results they got that these features were little used, in any case the interface of the new iTunes 11 is certainly cleaner than the older one.
