I did not even notice that the missing MAX made the loading of the
builtin version abort and load instead the next available thing : the native Winnt
version I have on my hard disk. That explains the 'regression'. Don't
bother to search for it, sorry.
The TRACE message in ELFDLL_dlopen should be an ERR if the reason
for failure is a missing symbol. - Unfortunately it seems there is no
way to differentiate between the problems without scanning the error message
for 'symbol' or something like that :-(
