Hi,
One thing that needs to be mentioned is if an app runs without a real windows
installation. IMO there should be 2 ratings; with and without an offical
O/S installed.
This is important because the difference between the two gives us a clearer
picture of how much work is outstanding on replacing the core dlls. Knowing
which Wine dlls dont work for an app is also important. I would probably use
that information to decide where to hack around if I wanted to do something
different for a while.
I think users should be able to register their support for getting an app
working as well (e.g. voting for most wanted app). I'd like to know what
people most want to run...
Which gets me to the last wishlist item - a decent set of reports about the
database. Most requested app, all items that started working in the last
week/month, new items added etc. Anything particularly noteworthy could also
go out in the WWN ("Last week, 5 new apps were reported to work perfectly,
while two were reported broken. see http://xxx for details..").
Someones going to need a lot of time to implement this, though...
Cheers,
Jon
