OK. But, not correct, IMO -- although you're likely to get other opinions and prolly examples of projects that do that... NOTICE file should contain legally required attributions *only*. Not additional information pertaining to the release. The LICENSE file should contain information about the licenses that cover the distribution.

Source seems good. I noticed that some number of files contain tab
characters... That's definitely not a release issue, just my personal
preference...

I had to disable tests (-Dtest=false -DfailIfNoTests=false) to get my
build to complete. I see there has been activity to fix. I don't think
that the test failures are a blocking issue.
