+1. IMO, there's no need for a formal vote for matters like this. That's my opinion, though... Will also note that if you do hold a vote, it should be preceded by a discussion. Better to iron out any differences of opinion in a discussion, not a vote. You must have votes for releases, committer/pmc membership (official actions of the project). For most other matters, discussion and consensus/lazy consensus work just fine. --kevan
