Someone asked the question about whether people were safer in the 35 states that have similar conceal and carry laws like the one we are now saddled with here in Minnesota.
While it is not clear and convincing evidence, i think the statistic on one state supplied by a reader of the Minneapolis Star Tribune is telling;
According to a study by the Violence Policy Center, based on information from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas permit holders have been arrested for 21/2 crimes a day ~ including for murder, weapons-related and crimes against children ~ since that state passed its conceal and carry law.
