I would hope that your findings could help improve Winona Online Democracy.
I was under the impression that was why you wanted WOD to acknowledge and
discuss them in the first place. I don't mean to put words in you mouth (so
please correct me if I'm off-base), but is it that you feel since, according
to your findings, WOD is not fully achieving its mission, it should close
its doors and not operate anymore? (Personally (and I mean no offense by
this) I would find that notion a bit akin to asking Habitat for Humanity to
stop operating because they have not fully achieved their mission of
"eliminating poverty housing in the world" and admonishing them for trying
to accomplish such a lofty goal in the first place) .
Bingo!

The Winona Daily News has a circulation of around twelve thousand copies and a assumed readership of around eighteen thousand probably more.
The letters in that paper generally come from the same two hundred (?) people. No one has ever accused the Daily News of failing the same goal.
Now guess what, I am restating your statistic my way. Twenty-five percentish (thirty-three) (?) of Wod-ies participate in the forum as opposed to the Winona Daily News' one and two thirds participation rate. A statistician, which I am not, will note that there is a ten to fifteen fold disparity between those numbers. It seems to me, fifteen fold is a little larger than a typical margin of error. I will retract that statement, if real numbers prove my fake ones to be completely bogus.
Steve Kranz in other emails is questioned why he does not put discussion ideas before the Winona Daily News. The answer to this is quite simple. The Winona On line Democracy environment is more suitable to that type of discussion.
At some point I have to ask, and yes this may sound mean but, no one has ever liked a hard question, is this a personal crusade against technology? Furthermore, when do you plan to publicise the material that you are using to continue your now seemingly regular attacks against the Wod-ies. I really do not like closed dealings in any situation.
It seems this domination complex that has been created is nothing more than hyperbole wrapped around a statistic. I think it is time to look at the original questions that were asked by other Wod-ies when this was first announced months ago rather than accusing others of not answering your points.
(I will also point out that many points that others make are not addressed. Usually what happens is someone that disagrees with an authors context will resort to loophole tactics to avoid the issue. Few of those persons ever complain, publicly. Perhaps I should make note of the time I asked questions of a moderator but the moderator decided to start selectively misinterpreting questions and decided to declare that their would be no more conversation after I pointed out their own errs on a particular concern... oh well... perhaps another day...)
