[Winona Online Democracy] As someone in the business of preparing drawings to explain architectural and site planning projects, I found the illustrations on the web site noted for the Thompson riverboat museum to be fairly awful. I don't know who's behind the project - I applaud their desire to get some images out to the public, but they need to go the next step and turn the computer generated graphics into something easily understood and attractive to most folks. This is not all that hard for anyone trained in art or architecture, and a little extra effort by someone involved in this project to find someone who could create such drawings (or modify the ones already made) would go a long way toward creating a positive public image for the project. As is, the drawings are not going to sell the project - and that would be a shame if it is indeed a worthwhile project..
