I received a responsive answer from Gloria Conrad, Karl Conrad's wife, that
in essence said:
" Yes, Karl is related to Max Conrad----his uncle.
Betty Conrad, Max's wife, was a sister to Bill Biesanz. They lived in
the house at 326 with Karl's grandmother for much of the time they were
in Winona. So far as we know, the music Max wrote was self published
---probably why he called it Conrad Publishing."
Frank & I lived at 327 W. 8th (across the street) in the 50's & 60's,
and at one time, Betty & I believe a daughter, lived in in one of our
apartments for a brief time. Gloria will check the Max Conrad website when
she has time & may be able to offer more information.
