[Winona Online Democracy] A few years ago I had sent a letter to the Winona Daily News regarding the very poor writing skills I had seen from young people that wrote emails to me because of my model aviation website. I am happy to report from what I have seen lately, the situation has improved.
In just the last week I have received emails from a couple of Science Olympiad students, the sentence structure, spelling, and the overall message was excellent. Maybe this is too small a sampling, but I have to hope teachers and parents are making a difference.
