If I were King
I would build Industrial Parks on both sides of the Interstate between the 43 North and 43 South exits for light manufacturing, warehousing and distribution companies. I would order Wilson to build a treatment facility, Jail for rent, an artificial lake and recreational park on the old land fill property, put water towers in the area of Ridgeway School, the Town Hall and at the junction of County 44 and 21. I would have the REA build Wind Generation Turbines down the median strips of the interstate to feed the grid. I would offer baby bonuses of $500 per month, per child birth to 18 for every family who relocated to the township with children to populated the schools. I would run bus services from the colleges to the industrial park every four hour and in between those runs provide shuttle service to the LaCrosse and Rochester airports for picking up airport passengers and workers from those communities to a commuter parking faculty behind the Town Hall and to the companies. I would grant TIF funding powers for the township to fund their growth, establish incubator business centers for startup business and create a community based single payer healthcare system run by a community based bank or banks. I would require most all government services be contracted by competitive bid for efficiency and to encourage new business opportunities. Then I would need to rest!
