Hello All,

Below is a wonderful tool.

It allows all us common smucks to be better informed and involved in the
state finance debates.

How would you solve the state budget problems?

Minnesota Public Radio has launched its 2005 Budget Balancer,
an online tool that gives you the chance to balance the state's
budget.

http://mail.publicradio.org/site/R?i=W0SyxM4o_1lp-GW9jh2-kg..

The Balancer provides more than 100 options to adjust spending
and taxes to solve the current $466 million deficit ($1.2 billion if
you add inflation).

You can create as many budget plans as you like. Then compare your budget
plans to Gov Pawlenty's. You can also e-mail your budget plan and comments
to anyone you choose, including your state legislator (we will help you
find your legislator's e-mail address).

Can you protect and promote your priorities while keeping the state in good
fiscal health?

See for yourself!

Then let us know what you think. Share your insights with
us, and take a moment to comment on the Budget Balancer
itself.

Feel free to e-mail us with any questions, concerns or
problems using the Budget Balancer.

Take some time to consider the state's future.

Sincerely,

The Minnesota Public Radio News team
