Congratulations to the students, teachers, staff and board for the
improvements in the test results for 8th graders!! All three areas Math, Reading
and Writing were up from last year. www.twincities.com
We can be proud of the results not only when compared with last year
but when we look at the others in the Big Nine including Rochester who we have
always looked at as being able to spend more.
Be thankful our kids and grandkids are not in Minneapolis
at Jordan Park or Red Lake. It is also clear that poverty has a direct
relationship to outcomes and the need to provide economic incentives to
challenge the best and brightest teachers to locate in those areas or do we
perpetuate the problem to the next generation of students who are locked into
the cycle of poverty.
Thanks again for making our system better despite the economic
challenges!
