[Winona Online Democracy]
This Wed. we get a chance to hear John Gunyou talk about local funding,
schools, et al.
I understand that at the recent PHASED meeting there was a speaker from
the State Education Dept. who talked about alternative funding for
schools. I was not able to attend. The only statements I heard so far
about the talk was that it was interesting. Apparently no one from the
WAPS Board was there and no WAPS administrators were there. There also
was no coverage by any local media. Since Gunyou will be talking about
local funding I would like to be able to compare what he says to what
this speaker recently said about alternative funding for schools. Can
anyone out there help by sharing a summary of what was said by the State
Educ. Dept. person?
