Hello Phil,
That is an interesting picture.
Considering it's California and they have bigger
wind potential in most area, I was surprised to see what looked like the
smaller turbines, 40 kw and smaller.
I'm not an engineer but the turbines also seem way
to close together.
It looks like they might be losing wind potential
because of not having the bigger units and, that because they are too close
together, they are disrupting the air flow through the turbines, turbulence is
generally not good for turbines.
Maybe it's just an optical illusion or I'm reading
the picture wrong (or it's 2:28 in the morning).

I'll try to attach a photo of the larger kind of
wind turbine that Winona County and others are looking at in another
e-mail.
