Today about 40 people will travel to Carleton College to visit the community wind turbine project in Northfield. For those of you who are interested in learning more about our local community wind turbine project but weren't able to go on today's tour, here is another chance to hear more about the project and ask questions. Please consider coming if you can and spreading the word to others who might also be interested. Vernon Township Hall ------ The Winona County Economic Development Authority (EDA) will sponsor a Neighborhood Open House and public meeting to present information about the proposed Community Wind Turbine Project. A short overview of the project will be given and a question and answer period will follow. New project partners and other updates will also be shared. Please consider coming to learn more about this exciting project. The Open House will be held at the Mount Vernon Town Hall on Tuesday, September 20th and will begin at 7:30 pm. Head toward the Twin Cities (and Rollingstone turnoff) on Hwy 61. 2. Shortly after you pass out of Minnesota City, take a left on to Hwy. 248 and head toward Rollingstone 3. Drive past Rollingstone and the Cenex gas station, then head up the hill. 4. Right at the top of the hill, turn right on Co. Rd. 31, which is on a curve. 5. Go north about a mile until the road "T's". Take a right on Co. Rd 28 and the Mt.Vernon Town Hall is directly on your right. For more directions or if lost, call 459-2303 or 450-6405 for directions. ------ >From western Winona county: 1. Go north from Altura on Hwy. 248 2. Turn north on County Rd. 31 (which is on a curve) before 248 heads down the hill towards Rollingstone. 3. Go north about a mile until the road "T's". Take a right on Co.
