I have noticed that not one school board member has responded to our
concerns over the ALC center.
If the board and administration go ahead with this they will have lost any*
trust they had with the public.
(I didn't trust them anyhow, but some voters did.)

Oh how I feared this issue would come up. Part of me wants to ignore it

hope it will go away but I think it's important that public servants be
responsive and not answer with silence.
I did not decide to serve in public office to talk about goofy chairs.
At times during the meeting I had images of Dilbert cartoons dancing in

head.

The chair problems are something I and the other new Commissioners at
the
time inherited from the previous Courthouse remodeling plans. The three
of
us had nothing to do with the decision to spend that much on chairs.
Trust
me, Marcia Ward (a.k.a. Scrooge) would have had a seizure over spending
that
much money on chairs.
Still, it's now something I have to deal with so I'll try to explain it.
The chairs have been sitting in storage for awhile and now we can get
rid of
them. We have set a base price to avoid the Middle School furniture
sale
problem. Hopefully this will put an end to a sad chapter.

Our tax dollars paid for chairs that cost $516.00 each and were not
useable?
But the chairs they are going to use cost $135.00?
Do the math. I thought our county board was smarter than that.
