Jaime, thanks for the direction, I have however read it all before and am still UNCONVINCED that this is not a complete waste of tax dollars.
Would it be a convenience for motorists and pedestrians? Sure, it's a great idea, however, is that inconvenience worth $10,000,000 + certain future maintenance costs? Come on, how can we justify $10,000,000 on an underpass that won't even accomodate commercial traffic? Over the past 40 years what is the mortality rate of WSU students on those tracks? Any pedestrian accident figures? So using those figures, how do you justify $10,000,000 ?
I have a much better idea for the use of our contribution, lets put that into a trust for our city parks maintenance. That trust could benefit the city and its children for generations to come, maybe we shgould ask the parks director if his deprartment could better serve our community if he had an extra $50,000 a year earmarked specifically for park infrast

improvement? Think those east end tennis courts might be playable finally?...or...we could throw it at a porkbarrell money pit that will cost this city money for generations to come.
My solution, WSU pays for its own pedestrian bridges, WSU stops trying to leverage the city into a financial boondogle, which is exactly what this idiotic underpass proposal is.
By the way "bifurcated" ? EXCELLENT use of a Five-dollar word, the last time I read that word I was more than likely digging through a textbook!
