[Winona Online Democracy]
I checked the Minnesota Secretary of State listing of Minnesota
corporations (including non-profits). I could not find a match to "Wilkie" that
was in Winona and could possibly have been the corporation guided by
the "Wilkie Board" referenced in the Winona Daily News Tuesday.
The last time I was critical of the Wilkie on WOD (a few years back) I
received a letter via USPS adminishing me and stating that I should join the
board and become a part of the solution (I paraphrase.)
Who does run the Wilkie anyway? What is the name of the organization that
is guided by the "Wilkie Board"? Who are the board members? Why has the city not
held the "Wilkie Board" accountable since at least 2003? Does the "Wilkie Board"
have an address? How does the city communicate with the "Wilkie Board"? Is Paul
Sweazy the only conduit to that organization? How long has he been the "chair"
or "head" of the "Wilkie Board"?
I think if we can begin to understand the "Wilkie Board" we may be on our
way towards understanding the "Wilkie Problem."
