[Winona Online Democracy]
I got the following question via email.
Will the forum (Winona) continue to be e-mail based?
This is a very important question that I should have addressed. In
fact, the reason that we like the Groupserver software so much, is
that it is the BEST opensource software that we could find, that
allows for complete EMAIL participation, but also allows those who
wish to participate via the web to participate that way. Mailman (the
software used for this forum now) does a great job for email only
participants, however accessing the forum via the web or posting via
the web is quite difficult (impossible). Once we move, you should be
able to do both/either, depending upon your preference.
Members who like to participate via email will continue to be able to
read AND post via email, without ever visiting our site. HOWEVER,
those who don't want to get all the email, will be able to easily
visit the site to read new messages AND post their responses via the
web.
For those who choose, here are a couple of ways that you will be able
to view the forum via the web:

Does this answer the question?
I look forward to seeing many of you on Thursday at 4:30 PM in the
Accoustic Cafe.
Best wishes,
