The WinPcap driver is signed and should load no problem on a Windows Server
2008 R2 machine.

What happens if you try "net start npf" from a command prompt?

Have a nice day

Subject: [Winpcap-users] Winpcap 4.1.2 on Server 2008 R2 (x64)

Hello !

I want to use SharpPcap - so the underlying WinPcap - on
a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine. I installed it successfully,
but it looks not working. Regard, all "R2" versions exists
as x64 versions only and additionally, on the server, there
is no way to use an unsigned driver. Wether my testprogram
nor Wirheshark x64 version offer me to capture packets from
the driver.

I think, the reason is, the driver is not loaded, because
it is not signed. I found no clean statement on this problem
in the docs and in the mailing list.

Is possibly someone able to point this out exactly?

Thanks a lot!
