Hi Lance, I have never operated 6 meters. Until last year we didn't have authorization, but now we do.
With horizons at 45 degrees from home it would have to be a mountain topping expedition. So the question would be how to do portable antennas without too much pain. There was a Spanish EME expedition here a few years ago that made a lot of contacts on the higher bands. Perhaps something to plan for the future...
