Coastas Loop Synchronous detector is Flex Radio > We were having a discussion this AM on AM with regard to how the Flex 'do what it do' with regard to Synch AM detection. Is the system simply a zero IF filtered or a more rigorous Costas fold over, where the good coherent guys get 20 Log and the bad guys get 10 Log hence a 3 dB desired signal gain. I know there are lots of theoretical answers to this concept but curious if anybody here actually knows what is happening in the FlexRadio and current software.
