Two words: Airwave. OK, it's just one word, but it's a good one. I promised awhile back to post my comparison of it, WLSE and Mobile Manager and here it is. It's a bit dated now that WLSE 2.5 is out but I think I reference the major new features in there, so hopefully not too bad. I asked all the vendors for comments and the only one I got back was from Cisco complaining that I shouldn't have pinged them for performance since the appliance I had was intended for the 1.0 version and not 2.0. Maybe, but I don't think so.

Full disclosure: Airwave has asked me to sit on their Advisory Council & so I might be a bit biased, but that was after we bought the product and long after I wrote this so I can say with a clear conscience this was about as level of a playing field as we could come up with.

One final note, it's not comprehensive in terms of tweaking every knob or even having a really structured test plan, more of an anecdotal review of the 30-day trial period. So keep that in mind when you're reading it and feel free to follow up with questions if you have any.

Have a great weekend,

John
