We use MRTG to graph the following OID's on our Cisco 350's or 1200's: IOS Associated Users: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.273.1.1.2.1.1.1 vxWorks: .1.3.6.1.4.1.522.3.6.1.1.1.11.2 or .1.3.6.1.4.1.522.3.6.1.7.1.4.2.1
NOTE: That the 2nd OID on the vxWorks is specific VLAN's if you have them configured... I would *HIGHLY* recommend the IOS for the AP's (can't get it on the 340 unfortunately)... it's a lot more resilient... however, there is an SNMP bug in IOS 12.2(13) where the counter will return in quite large number. Cisco has said it will be fixed in 12.2(15) with a target release date of March. Nicola Foggi Networks and Telecom DePaul University >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 01/23/04 02:00PM >>> We are a small University with, so far, a small wireless Access Point deployment and, of course, a small budget. As our wireless network grows we are finding it more and more important to compile usage statistics of the wireless network. At least, for now, what would be good is to be able to know the number of clients on a specific access point within a give hour (Mac addresses and VLANs used would be nice too). We, currently, are all Cisco for our APs (this may change in the future). We have Cisco 340s, 350s, and 1100s. I would be interested in hearing what other University's are doing to compile this sort of information? Suggestions??? Thanks, D.
