We do exactly the same...an American Power Corp. 1400 UPS runs the AP all day. Also bought a photographic lighting stand...telescopic to ~13 feet. We sit the UPS on the bottom, rest the stand on top of the UPS and velcro the base to the dolly and the AP is mounted on the stand. Raise or lower the AP as desired.
