Martin, We also use LRE and DSL but in your case I would be tempted to suggest the recycling of old T-1 equipment (CSU/DSU etc...) It will give you a lot of distance and definitely 1.5 Mbps symmetric. You may have some left over like we do, or pick a used unit! Last but not least: it works very well on phone lines ;-)
