Does bring up an interesting point- some management systems can easily
configure radios to go down and come back up on a schedule- the APs stay
live but the radio interfaces shut off. For example, Cisco's WLSE made
short work of this on the IOS-based APs. Unfortunately, the WCS that
manages LWAPP does not have this ability... the capability can be very
handy at times and for a variety of reasons.

Doesn't that negate the advantages of having wireless in classroom
buildings? If you don't want the students using wireless networking
while they're in class, the easiest thing to do might be to unplug the
APs in that building.

(Tongue in cheek, sort of.)
