We are going with the Meru system. We¹ll be installing the AP311 with the
bg radio on channel 1 and the n radio in 2.4 GHz on channel 11. We have 40
on site right now, 200 on order for delivery by the end of the month and
expect to order 200 more within the next few months. After this round of
installations is complete we¹ll go back to replace the existing Proxim
infrastructure (400 APs) with Meru. We are using Airwave to manage the
system and are hopeful that their upgrades due in the next couple of weeks
will address some issues between AirWave and Meru. We have been assured by
Meru that any changes necessary to adhere to the standard will be software
deployable.
