Joe, it's not really a captive portal as such. We've deployed it in two main ways: 1. Deployed onto a web server, with a link on our captive portal page, which is accessible prior to login. This will then run Cloudpath's XpressConnect application on a student's laptop, iDevice, android device etc. and migrate them across onto the 802.1x based wireless service, prompting for password, setting up security certificate and checking some basic settings etc. 2. Deployed onto CD's and USB drives to various people on the campus who have contact with students. It can then be run as a standalone program to set up the 802.1x wireless service, whether the student is on campus or not...
