We are using it on our 5508, but in a much smaller installation (1 controller, 50 AP's, ~150 users peak.) I've complained about problems with it in the past, but since we went to 7.0.116.0 it's done very well for us.

At peak time we see 5000+ authenticated MAC addresses across 12 wireless controllers (6 WiSM blades). We were thinking of implementing the web authentication using LDAP as a backup in the event that our NAC system fails. We would maybe do something like a 24 hour time-out. The idea is just to make sure that only campus affiliated users were connecting to our SSID.
