I can't say definitively that they won't interfere, but I can say I set up
a temporary wlan in a large lecture hall where the only place I could put
APs was right next to the main speakers. There was no issue.

FWIW, I can't think of any way that the radio signals from an AP would
couple into a conventional speaker. The frequencies are just too high. In
my experience, the interference from things like cell phones is always
involves a low-end amplifier near the phone. Low end in this case implies
non-linear and poorly shielded. I'd be very surprised if you had any
problem with the high-end speakers and amps you would find in a large
auditorium set-up by a professional AV staff.

Subject: [WIRELESS-LAN] Wifi interference with lecture hall speakers

Hi,
We're about to install wireless APs in a new lecture hall and I've
just found out that our desired AP locations will be in close proximity to
the lecture hall speaker cabinets. I've heard that there can be some
interference between WiFi and speakers. Has anyone run into this?

........thanks...................Jamie
