Remember, cloud-based controller is not the only outstanding features of
Meraki wirelss solution, others like "Layer 7 Visibility". Alos Meraki does
not only have wirelss product line, it has switch and security appliances
as well. Same "Layer 7 Visibility" is also available on the access switch
-- imaging how powerful and useful it is. And their security product even
can compete with other Next-generation firewall vendors, like Plao Alto. I
would say Cisco grabbed a good deal -- although I hate to see.
