I see my version of Chrome is now v29.0.1547.57 which looks to be a
update in the last few days.
Looking back through the release notes I found the list of supported
browsers.

•Google Chrome—19.0 build

•Mozilla Firefox— ESR 10.x, 13.0 and 14.0

•Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0 or 9.0 with Chrome plug-in. Native
Internet Explorer is not supported.

All the versions in the list are rather long in the tooth at this point
- I admittedly had to look up what FF 'ESR' was not having used it in
some time. Also I think the Chrome plugin for IE is being retired.

At this point all seems ok with the latest 'standard' FF, and I'd rather
not run one of those older versions directly or on a VM just for it.
With mutiple users, it's difficult to standardize on any one particular
browser, nevermind adhering to a specific version. Obviously other web
apps have similar dependencies, and I'm just sharing/appreciating that
reminder as the semester begins.
